I know lots of people post useless “news” on their blogs every day so I thought this little tidbit would fit right in:
Today, I made my first cup of coffee………ever.
I know, it’s totally bizarre, and I really didn’t believe it myself, but when I thought about it, I really think it’s true! I’m not a coffee drinker and Joel, being the coffee connoisseur, is so particular about his coffee being made EXACTLY the right way with the grounds being “just so,” heating up the cup with hot water so it doesn’t cool off, a certain number of seconds for an espresso shot, etc. etc. etc. All of this really made there be no real reason for me to have to figure it out.
Today, while sitting on the back porch having breakfast, Joel ran out of espresso. He was really exhausted and I offered to make it for him. Strangely, he agreed. It was a big step for both of us!
So, it’s made me a little curious that if something so insignificant as making a cup of coffee was a new experience for me today, there must be a lot of things I have to explore!
Oh, by the way, Joel gave me an A- on my espresso! (I didn’t want to get it perfect or I’d end up doing this every morning!)
