We’ve had quite the week –it’s Orientation Week for the language school which means helping new students and their families get accustomed to life in a new country and the intense process of learning a new language. We try to use skits, music, devotionals and presentations to communicate the enormous load of information that needs to be conveyed in these four days. After each day’s sessions, Joel and I have individual interviews with every new student in order to help these families recognize potential weaknesses that often arise when one combines an international move, life in a big city, a job change and learning a new language.
