A few years ago two dear friends of mine went on a trip that made a profound impact on her life. They later recounted the experience in their Christmas letter and ended it by saying, “If you ever have the chance to go, take it!”
Ever since then, I began praying that God would one day give us the opportunity to go to the same place.
In my lack of faith, I suppose, I assumed it may not happen until our kids were out of the house, but every once in awhile, I would repeat my prayer and ask God about my desires.
